Espiritualidade: Contributos para uma clarificação do conceito
Abstract
Os estudos sobre espiritualidade têm proliferado, nestes últimos anos, no campo científico. Os investigadores tentam perceber em que medida é que ela afeta o comportamento humano, quer individual, quer coletivamente. A controvérsia reside, no entanto, em torno do constructo da espiritualidade e se este é ou não (in) dissociável de dois outros que remontam às suas origens conceptuais: os constructos da religião e da religiosidade. Com este artigo, pretendemos contribuir para uma clarificação daquele conceito, apontando os caminhos geradores de possíveis consensus capazes de abarcar distintas sensibilidades e ultrapassar a dispersão das definições que grassam os estudos, por forma a tornar os constructos mais consistentes, em prol da cientificidade das investigações nesta área.
